Information collected during registration
CarrierConnect is primarily a business marketplace. Although some of the features of the CarrierConnect website are available to anonymous users, users who wish to take full advantage of the CarrierConnect online trading floors must register, and then be authorized by CarrierConnect, before trading or accessing more detailed information.

The very first time you register for any CarrierConnect service, we ask you a set of questions about yourself. These are designed to help CarrierConnect staff decide whether to grant access to our services. It also includes basic phone and e-mail contact details.

The initial step in registration involves the user supplying an e-mail address. This address is verified by sending an e-mail containing a link on which the user must click to continue the registration process. Then we collect the following mandatory information:

• First Name and Last Name
• Company
• Job title
• Telephone number

As part of this initial process we ask the user to select preferences these include:

• Preferred password

CarrierConnect uses the information captured to ensure that only legitimate users are approved for entry and to research the type of companies and business which are interested in trading or finding information on telecommunications capacity pricing.

Account managers may also use the contact information from the registration forms to contact the user when necessary. We do not resell data containing personal information to other companies.

Changing preferences and updating contact information.
Registered visitors or members can update their personal details, contact or company details or opt in or out of mailings, by using the Company Information button' on the Web site. Alternatively they can contact CarrierConnect Support at support@carrierconnect.cc

Information Logged
In the course of your use of our site, we automatically track certain information about users. For visitors (not logged in), this information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our site or not), which URL they next go to (whether this URL is on our site or not), and what browser they are using. Many sites automatically collect this information. This information is used in aggregate form to help us improve our site, and it can be used to solve any browser-based problems a user has with our site.

We may provide aggregated data to potential banner advertisers, but this will not include any information that can identify an individual or a company. Security
Our database is hosted on our own servers located in a secure facility. The data is only available to CarrierConnect staff and is not available through a standard web connection. This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of the information under our control, including the use of firewalls and encryption where appropriate. CarrierConnect’s systems include 128-bit encryption whenever sensitive information is passed over the public internet.
